What the Hub is all about!

We would like to introduce "The Hub" (Help learn, Unwind and take a Break) to Braeside families.
The Hub is a place where all students can come to self-regulate, take a break and/or reieve help/quiet place to work.
The Hub is also used as a classroom to work with small groups targeting specific skills around Social/emotional learning.
We have many tools students can utilize to regulate their emotions when feeling dysregulated.
You may find at anytime of the day Mrs. Sharon (Behaviour support worker), Mrs. Keehn (Bridges support worker/EA) and Mr. Roberts (Bridges Teacher/Social and Emotions Behaviour teacher), in the Hub working with students.
Part of our job as a team is to teach a variety of social/emotional skills and strategies to all students throughout the school year, either as a whole class or in small groups.

Our focus again this year is on The Zones of Regulation.  Ask your child(ren) about it!

This week we talked about emotions to many of the classes with My Incredible Talking Body as a jumping off point and then a SmartBoard activity.

Emotions Quiz:
What emotion is Mrs. Sharon feeling?
What Zone(s) is Mrs. Sharon currently in?
If you know the answer, please let Mr. Roberts, Mrs. Sharon and/or Mrs. Keehn know!!!! :)
